ICANN OCTO ISPCP/SSAC: Emerging DNS Abuse Trends and Mitigation Strategies
ICANN’s Technical Engagement Team is pleased to announce a series of training sessions delivered in collaboration with the Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers (ISPCP) Constituency and the Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC). Designed for both technical and non-technical audiences, the sessions will focus on key topics related to the Domain Name System (DNS) and are intended for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) worldwide.
The sessions will be offered online and in person at ICANN meetings, scheduled across convenient time zones to encourage broad participation.
One of the upcoming sessions, Emerging DNS Abuse Trends and Mitigation Strategies, will take place on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, starting at 11:30 AM. As threat actors continue to evolve, DNS abuse — including phishing, malware, and botnets — is becoming increasingly sophisticated. This session will examine current abuse trends, mitigation frameworks, and cross-community efforts aimed at strengthening DNS resilience.
