An Initiative to Fight DNS Abuse

Mind the Gap, Close the Abuse Loop: A Dutch-German Exchange Cross-Border Abuse Meeting

eco, its topDNS Initiative and the Dutch Cloud Community

invite you to a joint members-only Dutch-German Security, Abuse & DNS Working Group Meeting!

On 3 September 2026, the Dutch Cloud Community (DCC) and eco – Association of the Internet Industry invite you to a unique, members-only, in‑person Dutch‑German exchange on tackling online abuse.

This joint working group meeting brings together leading experts from industry, law enforcement, academia, and policy to bridge gaps, share proven approaches, and accelerate cross-border collaboration. From prevention and mitigation projects to real-world case studies and policy initiatives, participants will gain valuable insights into how both ecosystems are addressing abuse—and where collaboration can make the difference.

Why join?

  • Discover best practices from Dutch and German initiatives
  • Explore cutting-edge tools and frameworks in abuse prevention and mitigation
  • Engage in rapid-fire presentations (10 min + interactive Q&A)
  • Shape joint action plans and future collaboration models
  • Build trusted relationships across borders — because trust is key to impact

Expect dynamic contributions on topics such as codes & notice-and-takedown processes, secure email, DDoS mitigation, DNS abuse, data sharing frameworks, and more. Interactive elements will capture your input and help prioritize follow-up actions.

Outcome-driven collaboration

Together, we will identify shared goals, define concrete next steps, and lay the foundation for a durable Dutch-German cooperation framework — including regular exchanges and shared communication channels.

Stay for BBQ & Drinks

Participants are also warmly invited to stay for BBQ & drinks from 17:00 onwards, providing additional time for informal networking.

Join us for an engaging and action-oriented exchange — where ideas turn into cooperation, and cooperation into impact!
